Dark Star Brew Co & Morvélo Bicycle Apparel & Kinesis Bikes UK are pleased to announce the return of this very popular event. After a sell-out and fun filled first year. Spin Up 2013 is looking even better whilst still bringing together all those that love to ride, race, drink and eat. All under one roof. And a brewery roof at that.

The Ride Outs

This is where you'll find details of the proposed Ride Outs to the Dark Star Brewery and other associated details such as transport and bike parking etc.

There are two to choose from. One off-road for MTBs and cyclocross Bikes. One on-road for road bikes or, we guess, cyclocross bikes too. Both rides will be about 2hrs long so you can save some energy for testing the range of beers. Sorry, we mean the roller racing.

The rides will be a social speed but please check the routes carefully in case you decide to bomb ahead or trundle behind. Also please bring any tools, puncture repair stuff and water etc you may need as there will be no provision for this.

Start

Both rides start at Marrocco's on Hove Seafront at 11am

Need us to take some casual clothes up for you?

There will be a van available to take spare kit, shoes, casual clothes etc up to the venue for you so you can relax when you get to the brewery. If you have booked the return transport then there will be space within the coach for you to carry your luggage back with you. If you haven't then it will be your responsibility to carry your clothes back from the brewery after the event. 

Bike Parking

There will be bike parking within the brewery yard. Even though it will be pretty secure all bikes are left at the owners risk. If in doubt bring a lock or pack a lock with your spare clothes.


 

Getting back?

There are a few choices open to you for getting back. Of course it'll be sunny so you could ride home. Or get the coach back. Or, by prior arrangement, bikes can be left at the venue overnight for collection on May 26th. Bikes are left at owners risk we must add.

Ride back anyone?

With the sun setting at about 9pm it is a a great opportunity for a ride back. Bring some lights and rope in your friends to make it a full day of bikes, beers and BBQs. You'll have Sunday to sleep it off.

The organisers of Spin Up don't encourage drinking and riding. If entrants are drinking, they are urged to take advantage of the coach transfers or seek alternative transport home.
